Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body. Reflexologists work holistically with their clients and aim to work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better health for their clients.

The theory is that reflexology helps the body to restore its balance naturally. Usually, after a treatment your tension may be reduced and you might feel relaxed. You might also notice yourself sleeping better and find your mood and sense of wellbeing improving. You may also find that other aspects improve too; however, this happens on an individual basis.

Reflexology is a very individual treatment which is tailored to you as a whole person, taking into account both physical and non-physical factors that might be affecting your wellbeing. Some people find it works for them. The best way to find out is to try it! Call Karen on 07510 319756

“Karen treated me whilst I was pregnant; it really helped me to relax and to ease my pregnancy pains including a sore lower back. I highly Recommend any pregnant woman to try this” Jenni, Salisbury.

Hot Stone Reflexology.

Hot Stone Reflexology combines the benefits of an individual reflexology treatment with a number of different sized smaller warmed basalt stones to enable deep stimulation of the reflex points for a relaxing and deeply rejuvenating treatment. The heat from the stones opens the energy pathways, improves the relaxation response and increases healing through improved blood flow and circulation. The heat also helps to relax the muscles in the feet allowing the therapist to work deeper into the reflex areas.

The heat from the stones penetrate to a deeper level, bringing about physiological changes as well as influencing the body’s internal energy flow (Chi); therefore bringing a balance to both body and mind.

If you have tried Reflexology and enjoyed it? Then why not take it to the next level and have an experience that will leave you relaxed and ready for the world.

Indian Head Massage.

The Indian head massage, also known by the portmanteau "champissage" (chämpi—the Indian word for massage in many dialects + massage), is based on the ancient Ayurvedic form of healing that dates back almost 4,000 years. It works the upper three chakras: vishuddha, ajna, and sahasrara, and can be used for physical harmony, for healing, for vitality, and for good, old-fashioned relaxation.

Both techniques along with other massage techniques have now been combined to make up the modern version of Indian Head Massage.

The treatment works on the top three chakras, crown, brow and throat.

‘Indian Head Massage does not diagnose or cure but, promotes the mental and physical conditions necessary to foster positive good health and prevent ill health.’

‘Massage can encourage an increased sense of self awareness, which often leads to early recognition of stress signals and the realization of the need for mental and physical relaxation in everyday life.’
